The Telus corporate head office occupies a complex originally built in 1976. Sporadic renovations had not kept pace with the evolution of the Telus image so this current renovation focussed on creating a flexible space that would reinforce and complement Telus’ strong branding and unique graphics. Daily office traffic flow through three lobby levels to the two-tower building above shares space with open areas that encourage public use. Routes are identified by swaths of different flooring types and patterns and destinations are accented by furniture groups and backlit panels. All new lighting and a dramatic metal panel ceiling act as the primary unifying elements. The updating also included a new security desk, waiting areas, touch-down stations and a coffee/juice bar.
